700-r4 spacer plate

a friend dropped off a 1988 700-r4 and wanted me to tear into it and see what I could find wrong with it . I got it gutted and the most obvious thing is the spacer plate is trashed . Huge bulge from the concial 1-2 accumulator spring and the the check balls have done a number on the holes . The plate is marked "BM" . Wit transmissions has this plate but I was wondering about the Transgo 700-P . Which way would you go ?
