Hey Guys,
Looking for tips to put a decent 700 together.
Basic build stuff, and upgrades.
This one is just going behind a pretty stock 350 Chevy in an S10 Blazer so only moderate abuse.
I've built a handful of these but really just a teardown, inspect, replace clutches and seals, and reassemble, no mods.
Here's what I got,
rebuild kit including Borg parts,
all new frictions and steels
Corvette Servo
it came with 2 new 3rd accums?
Alto band
new filter, thrusts, bushings
TransGo reprog kit
.500 boost valve
Will that pretty much do it?
Any other parts I need. It is an 88 core.
If it was for anything more powerful i would install the beast sun shell but I think stock will be OK here.
Any tips for the teflon rings, like anyway to install them without the special tools and sizers. I can borrow the tools but just wondering here.
ATSG manual talks about installing a couple of techpak orifce plugs..
Should I pretty much do everything the ATSG says, or are there some things to avoid?
Also the 3-4 pack, should I use thick steels or stock?
get the kit from GM with the steels and frictions, etc..?
Also,
at what point are 5 pinion planets needed?
Thanks
Jake
