78 Instrament Cluster Replacement

Trip odometer was an option back than I guess. I thought it was standard with the guage package. Everyone I've seen had it anyway.

As dumb as it sounds, could one of you put arrows pointing to the 4 7mm screws?

first you detach the headlight knob. ......then pull off the cluster bezel(woodgrain) . ......then unscrew all the clear plastic covers. ......once you exposed the guages , then you should unscrew them and pull them out.

What's the eisiest way to get the headlight know off? I still haven't figured that one out.

You dont need to take the lens off to remove the cluster. Look in the four corners for the 7mm screws. What I use to remove the H/L knob is an Allen wrench. Take the short end and push in the metal clip you see through the slot on the knob.
