Rob has a super nice set of TAs and formula (think one or two) that I was lucky enough to see in person a few months back.
I knew there was something drawing me to this forum today...my ears were burning :D
And Quick-n-KC/Bryan saw me driving this one home when I bought it, he was in Alabama when I past him.

And the one I had before the TATA

and all of them together

Ok john, that should be enough motivation to make you go buy one or two :)

And BTW, that TA Bryan listed, if it runs and drives, thats a bargain of a deal no matter how much work it may need. '79 TATA's have sky rocketed in price the last 5 years..well most 2nd gens in general have, most people want $5k for a roller shell of one.
That 500 mile pictured one would probably fetch $45k

Well the owner has been thinking about selling it. Interested?
I couldn't bring myself to drive it with only 500 miles on it, mine's got just over 25k so its a little easier to drive, especially what I see 50-60k miles cars bringing.... JohnDeer, I think John found the car you need! :)

500 miles:biggrin: In my (wet) dreams:biggrin:  I will buy your's Rob and you buy the 500 mile beauty:cool:

He bought it with 20 miles on it and has put 490 on it since buying it. This is the second one he bought with no miles on it. The first was an automatic with a 403 in it. He sold it with just under 600 miles on it.

and what did he get John:confused:money wise?

He sold the 600 mile auto T/A for $25,000.

And he bought this 4 speed car 2 or 3 years later from the same guy that he bought the auto trans T/A from.

There were 3 10th Anniversary T/A's here in Pgh all with under 15 miles on them owned by an interior restoration guy. He bought all three of them new from Downtown Pontiac in Pgh and had them flatbeded to his shop where they sat until 6 years ago. None of the T/A's were driven or started for over 20 years. They were never even dealer prepped, which can be seen in my original pics that I posted of the 4 speed car.

I think he still has a 77 Bandit Edition T/A also with no miles on it.

Jesus, that was awhile ago!

Alright boys.. This ones real :)

LMAO.. I don't think I have that much hair that it would look bushy coming from the opposite direction, probably had shades, but not big ole glasses... I think you had a flash back to the '70s :D
That was May 2002...dam almost 5 years ago!

Damn, I need to put those Daytona Decals on my TA! Those look good.

These were taken in 1995 and 1996 when i purchased my 96 indy dodge pickup.

In the first picture, the red turbo laser is what started my turbo bug, honestly the trans ams started leaving pretty quick in 1997 when i purchased my first turbo buick.

In the first pic, if you notice my auto TATA has rallys on it, those were off the 73 trans am in my later pics.
The second auto TATA has a nice windshield banner, can anyone make that out? Its the same one on my dodge dually i have now, well same style decal anyway. SLOWER TRAFFIC KEEP RIGHT also reversed. In this picture i was in the middle of getting it painted, no grills and no scoop. I purcased it out of a barn when i was 14 years old. The car was only 15 years old

The last TATA is my 4 speed car with 32K on it when i sold it.
I sold these cars to buy my first and second TTA's

I drove both auto cars to highschool when i could and purchased the 4 speed my first year of college. I had a lawn mowing business that started it all!

I sold the dodge and it was a great truck.

My dad owned the 73 TA 455 auto with ac for many years, he sold it when i bought my buick, then i purchased him a WE4 and he finally was happy.

My dad purchased the 67 red on red firebird 400 4spd wz with 3.55 in 1970, he cant drive it and i keep it stored away, away from anyone else

LOL

Well, im sure i said too much

Damn!!!..........Brings back memories!!! Wish I still had my 79 T/A 403. Lots of people bag on em but mine ran VERY low 14's with a few mods incuding 3.42 posi rear. At that time (in the early 90's), that was quick!! I beat most challengers with it on the street. Until I had a run in with the DARKSIDE. Man, he beat me soooo bad I thought there was something wrong with my car. Wish I had it now..................HEY, I hit 69 POSTS!!!
