Been looking for 1 for a couple of years, to mount on my 78 cutlass salon. Finally found 1 in Michigan. Received it today and it's in pretty good shape. A couple of nicks and scratches here and there.
Anyway, the question I have is, what is this made of? It's not fiberglass, but a plastic type material, but not ABS plastic. What will be best to use to fill these chips and scratches after I sand it down to bare material?
Secondly, think it will look better in flat black, or body color? I've seen them done both ways, and both look pretty good.

It's a fiber re-enforced thermal plastic if I remember right. Try some bondo but I think you may need to get a plastic welding kit to fix the issues.

Thanks Charlie. I'm sure some spot putty will do just as well, since they're just small nicks in the surface.
