8" with 4" backspacing. Car is really low and clearance to frame rails is close but liveable. I did trim the quarter panel lip a bit. Centerline Rev wheels.

don't know if a 10" will fit without sticking out .. that xtra 2"s makes the tire a LOT bigger.. here is an 8 an 10" comparison.

Mark- your car looks great-what tire size and rim size did you pick for the fronts? is there much room on the frame side on the rears? I personally like 8" with that size tire and no more than a 9" max.

Fronts are 15 x6 with the standard backspacing for those wheels. Running stock size 215/65 BFG's on the front. BFG 275/60 drag radials on the rear. Believe the M/T might be a bit wider on the section width than the BFG's. Also, I have a Currie 9" rear that is supposedly the exact same width as the GM rear but never had the stock rear so can't verify that so your results may vary.:) Got about 1/4 to 1/2" clearance to frame rails. It is a bit tighter to the drivers side frame rail right where it kicks out a bit at the rear of the opening.

Guys saying the 10" wheel works are more than likely running with suspension at stock height. I am running Hotchkiss F body springs on the rear.

Mark

that is great looking!
the attitude is perfect. the rims are outstanding.
tucked in and low, very impressive!!!!!!
I like it!!!

Here is where I got my springs http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HSS-1903R/

Was using Mustang rear springs that were cut down but if the suspension unloaded doing a Dukes of Hazzards jump there would be a chance of the springs popping out. With the Hotchkis ones the top 3 coils stack up tight. When the suspension unloads the spring will extend out to the point where I now need to undo the lower shock bolt. The height was still not low enough for me so got rid of the isolators I was using and put a hose over the spring for the first coil.

Car sits at 26" from ground to fender lip using the center cap as a reference point. That is with 275/60's that are 28" tall. Want to get a little more shock travel as I am at about 2" of downward travel. Don't know of anyone that makes lowering shocks but will look around.

Was hoping QA1 would have something. Might look into extending the lower shock mounts a bit. Might even go to a rear coilover setup in the future who knows?;)

Go with 8"
These are 10" rims
I can get away with these because of air bags
And the the Nitto's are shorter 26

8" over 10" (10" stretches the sidewalls too much)...9.5" is considered the max recommended tire according to Mickey Thompson's specs for the ET Street DR.

P/N 3754R P275/60R15 (28 X 11.50R15)
Approved rims: 7.5"-9.5"
Suggested Rim: 8"
Sidewall Width: 11.0"
Tread Width: 9.5"
Diameter: 28.0"

If you have room for a 9" or 10" and can handle another 1/2" to 1" of sidewall go with the new 295/55-R15. I'm running these on 9" rims and they are perfect.

P/N 3755R P295/55R15 (28 X 12.50R15)
Approved rims: 8.0"-10.5"
Suggested Rim: 9.5"
Sidewall Width: 12.0" (11.5"-11.7" on a 9" rim)
Tread Width: 10.9"
Diameter: 28.0"
