Kolene is a type of steel.
Wide band is good if your drum is new or has been surfaced.
Red eagle stuff had some problems a few years ago. I guess they have that under control but many now reccomend a carbon fiber band.
I'm guessing you have the original brf vb/gov.
Will they be going to a larger servo? Or do you at least have the brf "694" servo?
New converter?

not sure about the servo question. it is the fatory tranny on the car and has never been touched. as for the converter i'm getting a really good deal from a friend who has an alliance manufacturing 2500 stall speed converter.

You can look at the servo at the casting numbers. If it is the original one it would have a number ending in 694 cast into it. There are others like the 692 that came in the mcss and and the bq in the 84-85 TR and the lesser pieces with other casting numbers.

ok guys so i spoke with the transmission place and here is a list of some of the parts that were mention for the rebuild.
HD Performance Clutches
Stage 2 Full Race Shift Kit
Hardened Sun Shell
Hardened Spline Support
500 Boost Valve
Performance Super Servo
Heavy Duty Band
Complete New Bushing Kit
13 Vane Re-manufactured Pump Assembly

does that sound about right for a pretty well built transmission

While I'm not a guru(more of a novice enthusiast), I would not go to a 13 vane pump. Do get hard rings for the pump and overhaul the pump. If you must go with more than 7(stock), a ten vane is a better choice.
I would go with a wide band with carbon fiber material. Make sure they surface the drum for a good round surface for the band to clamp.
I would get the sonnax servo, this might be what they are describing.
You might think about a larger boost valve(.555 Maybe) and a larger reverse boost valve.
A billet shaft forward drum and dual feeding the directs will probably be in order for 800hp.
You also might be looking into some billet apply pistons for good measure with that much hp.
Be sure they understand that clearances are important and they need to get different seectives to get the clearances correct.

Your trans already has a hardened sun gear shell and there is nothing to be gained from using a rotor with more than the stock 7 vanes. In fact I say there is something to loose.

The price of that trans just keep going up. It should be around the mid level price of a Janis or Lonnie trans. It would only need a few more key billet pieces to max that trans out. Then you may question the converter that you are going to put in it because some trans guy ask. Someone else will ask about your cam, converter, and turbo selection.
