83 t timing...

my 83 t-type everything stock except smog equipment removed n rebuilt carb plus turbo, I've got it timed about 8 degrees advanced...seems to be running/idling good just wanted to make sure that was recommended. its my first forced induction car so im not sure of all the dangers...

If I remember right 15* is where it should be, just can't remember if it's before or after???

Has to be before TDC. 15* is what I remember too. It should be printed on the emissions sticker on the fan shroud.

This is correct. it's 15 degrees BTDC at idle and if I remember right the idle speed should be 600 to 700 rpm.
