What (if any) is the difference between the '84-'87 TR's 200 4R trans. & the ones in the '83 TR's

The '83's don't have the "magical" BRF coded valve body.

How accurate is that, with the 83 BR, the 84 & 85 BQ listed? I coulda sworn the 84 & 85 were BR also... but I've never had one open

I think those codes are for the whole transmission and not just the valve body.

I have heard the same, that all 84/87 have the BRF, but the '83 didn't. I sure somebody in the Trans Forum could confirm this.

84-85 is different, I beleive BQ code, or otherwise everyone would be wanting to buy the one I have been trying to sell for almost a year now. 86-87 has the coveted BRF!!!!!!!!
