84-85 downpipe flange will it fit the 83 T-type

Any know if the turbine housings bolt pattern are the same for the 84-85 cars as the 83 t-type. I am removing the elbow and need a flange because im going to a external wastegate and putting on a larger downpipe. Also if they are the same where can I get one of these.

Almost positive!!

If I remember the housing is the same. You might try to pm Lee Thompson for a flange or better yet buy one of his 3in down pipes!!! There is'nt a better down pipe made and it's made for an external wastegate!!!! Hope this helps.

I don't think they are the same, but I would love to be wrong and be able to bolt a Hot Air DP onto my turbo. I took a picture of the Carb/Turbo's turbine housing and elbow. Could someone take a look and tell me if it's anything like a Hot Air turbo's turbine housing. I know the elbows are very different. but I'm hopeing the Hot Air elbow would bolt onto the Carb/Turbo's housing.

The Buick V6 Carb/Turbo is on the left and the 301TR is on the right.

I guess the first question is- How many bolts does the Hot Air elbow use?

sure look the same but, have a look for your self. Cant really tell with out measurements. But they both have 4 bolts oriented the same wayhttp://www.gnttype.org/techarea/pictureguides/turboguide/8485stock.html

Anyone compared the housings yet? Any difference in the 84-85 bolt pattern and the 83's bolt pattern? Will the 84-85 housing bolt up to the 83's turbo?
