Does the hot air cars use the same radiator as the 86/87 IC cars? Same oil & trans cooler fittings?

No. 84/85 is not as wide and it does not have an engine oil cooler.
Only has the trans coooler. HTH

X2. But that doesn't mean you can't run an 86-87 rad in a hot air. You would just have to get the oil cooler lines and associated pump parts. Takes a different upper rad hose, and hold down as well.

Here's another thread that might be of interest http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/ho...98-factory-hot-air-v-8-radiator-pix-tech.html

I don't think you would need to use the LC2 radiator. One from a V-8 application may work without the hassles of trying to hook up the tranny and oil coolers. Your stock tranny cooler lines will line up perfectly with the V-8 radiator. Plenty of options out there as far as fans and cooling go.:)

i'm running a 3 core rad out of a V8 Cutlass i parted out. i grabbed the top plate from the Cutlass and got a new upper radiator hose for an 87 GN.
everything (except the electric fan i put in at the same time) hooked up and looks stock, and the only money i spent on the swap was the $15 for the hose.
