i have an 84 ttype with the stock MAF I don't hear any turbo spool. Vehicle drives but stalls out when I take the MAF off the vehicle runs and idle fine. I have an 87 MAF and an 87 ECM but the ECM came with a street chip which my stock 84 doesn't have the proper injectors for. What can I do ?

If your maf piping is not sealed properly, it can cause unmetered air to enter, causing a lean condition. The maf could be bad. Or the injectors for the new ecm are greater than 10% of the stock size and may cause a lean condition due to the pulse-width of the larger injector. It's best to check for the first two to eliminate those possibilities and then install the correct injectors. Lean is bad.

get a TT chip for your injectors,for your hotair and then put in the the 87 ecm
if you dont have one already you may need an adjustable fuel pressure regulator
with the 87 ecm you can run the 87 maf but i would ditch that and get a translator and modern maf
