85 fuel pump test lead ?

trying to help a friend with his hot air 85 where is the fuel pump test lead not getting prime or power to the pump want to rule out pump .i know I can run a wire but just want to know if it's the same as the 87 I know that test lead is behind the alternator but does the hot air even have one thanks as always .
