hey bot, how much would you charge me if you were to copy the plumbing for the intercooler thats in your car and send it to me? ;)

I might be able to make you the the turbo outlet pipe or I could make you another set ic pipes.

:D Hey bot
You could fill avoid if you could do the turbo adapters and modify the upper plenums in addition to the 3 inch intercooler pipes. I for one am going to do a coversion. I may call on you for advice. If you were in a position to modify the upper plenums, I would by one from you modified

Id be interested in a set of 3" ic pipes, as long as it includes EVERY pipe like yours. But, would the pipes basically only work for that specific turbo, and same for the intercooler.

Are there any pressure drop concerns when pushing the compressed air into a larger pipe ?

My TA33 is only a 2" opening - I currently have 2 1/2" pipes. Not too sure i'd want to go bigger though. Theres gotta be some concerns there....unless you have a large enuf turbo to not worry about it.....

[I had a spearco kit and I think it had 2.5" pipes I havent had any problems with the 3" pipes. I bet my kit would out flow the spearco one. I may see the need for a bov, since theres a lot more volume of air in the pipes, and it would be nice to find a 3" down pipe for the car, my atr one seems to small.

everything seems to work a lot better on the car since I relocated the throttle body. no codes since day 1 , and I like the throttle responce.
and I am still using the stock 87 IAC location with no water neck problems

hey bot, whats up with the 3"ic pipes? you wanting to sell yours, or make me a set? =-)

I'm not sure what I doing with the car yet . The only way I could make them is on a car. see my motor might sit differnt since I have h/r motor mounts.

fbodlov, get the precison front mount intercooler they bolt in without cutting
up your car. ther around 600.00 for intercooler and mounting kit. and that IC
is big like 4.5 thick, and three inch inlets and outlets. you could do a conversion like mine for around 425.00, less the intercooler, or cheaper depends how cheap you can get the parts. and for welding cast aluminum
you just have to find a really good tig welder, like i did, my guy can tig pop cans together :)

Can you give me a link to the intercooler youre talking about bot? and what do you meen i could do it for about 425 cheaper? Im not sure if youll know for sure or not, but is the js intake still being made?

Oh yeah, and where did you get all your pipes, and bend them at?

Here is precision web site www.precisionturbo.net , look in the intercoolers then,
Complete Intercoolers,
» Air-to-Air

then go to part no. IC011,
intercooler will bolt in but, there pipes will not work . if you look all so under the turbo section you can see the specs. on my turbo it is a pt51.

Guys, I did the same thing, used an 86 stock intake,
drilled the oil return hole. Use an 86/87 stock IC and
brackets with 86/87 fan. Modify the plenum as described,
use the 86/87 TB, fab the pipes and fab a thermostat
outlet tube and go! Makes a real slick setup IMHO.
Want pics, email me.
