If you go to the salvage yard ones off the 3rd gen camaros and firebirds are the same.

They are not the same the internal stops are diffrent so the car would have a diffrent turning radius. They bolt in the same and are both 12:7 to 1 ratio but they are diffrent. The g body box in the best swap for the a body. I also have several for sale

So it might have 2 1/4 turns lock to lock as opposed to 2 1/2 turns.....right? If you run big wheels in the front you cant turn your wheel that far any way.
-AND-
Those cars had a fluid cooler on them so they might be a bit better worse for wear than the uncooled ones.
