Hi all, didn't know where to post this so I took a chance and will post it here. :)

Just curious, here are the options that my 86 GN came with:

Manual windows, manual locks, manual seats, NO tilt wheel (......?) , NON posi, aluminum drums (don't know if that was a standard or not) and last but not least, it is an astroroof car!

Would this make the car unique, or just a bastard child? lol, decided I would ask. I have since converted the car to posi and taken out that P.O.S radio, but other than that everything remains the same.

Thanks!

Sounds odd. Did you buy it new?
If not, are you sure it's not a clone?

That is interesting! If it's a GN, then you have one of 512 astroroofed GN's produced in 86. But the lack of power options is unusual. The day I bought my 86 off the showroom floor, there was another one there that lacked all power options, but it was a solid roof car.

I purchased it from the original owner in 06, the powermaster failed and it had sat since 2000. It is a real one definitely!

It was probably ordered that way by the customer. The dealers of course are going to make their $$ on fully loaded cars not ones with manual windows, locks etc. Do you know what the sticker price was on the car?

I have seen two other GN's with roll up windows and manual locks on one of them and one had T-Tops. That pretty much tells you the customer ordered it that way.

My '86 is loaded w/T-tops but I would kill for crank windows.

Turbo Dave: Just curious where you find the 512 production number for Astroroof 86 GN's.... If this number is accurate, do you have the source for the number of the Astroroof/Power seat combo 86 GN's??
I've read rumors of there being somewhere in the 200's produced but cannot confirm.

Ya, I've got all those Turbo Buicko/GN related books, and it was in one of those that I found the numbers.

Hmmm. I have all of those books as well. I do not recall seeing those numbers. I guess I need to go back and look. Interesting info to know.
