Hey guys, I have an NA 86 Regal which is cuurently giving me a problem. It seems when I come to a stop (quick stop) my car stutters (as in TCC solenoid going bad) and sometimes dies, although the car starts up immediately afterwards. Did these transmissions come with a TCC solenoid? If not, can someone tell if there's something else I can check or am I looking at a rebuilt?

Current mileage is 155K, thanks.

If it is the 200c, you CAN'T change it out like the 200-4R. It is bolted to the back of the pump and the pump has to be pulled out. It is not located in the same area as the overdrive units.:(

:o
Sorry for leading you the wrong way Danster..
Appreciate the insight GNeric....

I stand corrected.:)

No problem, Cutluse231. This is about the only thing I don't like about the 200c.

Thanks for the replies. I guess I'll need to take it to the tranny shop. :(

They are lightweight and have less rotating mass internally. I have built a few for street/strip and did the old B&M kits in them (when they were still available) and they hold up pretty darn well. They can use the wider band for 2nd, GN servo, and a couple other things I can't think of right now  Scott McClay has a killer 200 and I don't know if it is a lockup or not, but I understand it will take a lot of horsepower.
