87 ECM MAF and KB chip Holy SH#t

Hey guys, just thought that you may want to know that I put in my 87 ECM , MAF, Coil pack and Ignition Module, and Kennie Bell 93 octance chip. It runs like a totally different car, Very Very Fast.
The reason Im writing in is that I could not have done it without all of your help, you guys giving me info when I need it and helping me understand these cars means the world to me. Hell, Im happy to have one of these cars just to be around great people such as yourselves. Thanks Lee Thompson for all your help and answering my questions, your a great guy. And thanks to everyone else. I will try to get a track time soon and post my mods as I go along. The next step is the intercooler with front modified intake and TA49 turbo. Thanks everyone for all the help.

Oh Lee P.S. Is it still a good idea to run alchohol with my Intercooled setup Im going to use, If so I would like to come out when you have time and put in the Aquamist nozzles, and what do you think about a TA 49 turbo?? give me your adivce on what turbo to get for the street and strip.

Watch detonation with ANY KB chip. I had one of his street chips about 4 years ago, and it detonated a bunch. I tried my damndest to get rid of the knock to no avail. I went to a Jay Carter chip and the knock went away and the car drove much better. This is on an 87 GN. ERIC.

Yea I seen that, Im running some race gas 110 with my regular gas, it cured it instantly, and runs fast. Thanks for the warning though.

yeah,i think kb chips have a lot of timing.good to hear it's running better.

im praying i get the same results w/ my swap....i got the ecm and scanmaster on the way already and have a caspers 30# inj thumbwheel waiting here.....i dont have the MAF yet but well see how far the ecm chip and tuning gets me for now

BoOOO I'm running a KB chip. we dont get much higher than 92 here. In some places there are 100, but they run out as soon as they go on sale. Leaded Race gas here cost too damn much for a 5 gal container.

Turtle TR =yea but look at the benifits, you live in a tropical paradise. I would like to go there sometime.

Fire bird 350, you will probably need a 87 MAF for it to run correctly, the calibration on the 85 MAF is way different, I tried it.
