This a nice driver,not a garage queen.
87 GN 123,xxxk fresh standard motor 2-08,about 3k on it now.
standard crank,std bore,stock heads,204/214 cam.
stock turbo
stock IC
30 lb injectors,TT chip
stock downpipe,aftermarket exhaust(older hooker system?or dynomax)
3.42 posi

ran 13.10 on 16lbs of boost on street tires on it's only trip to the track.

has new bodyfillers front and rear. new weatherstrips door and roof rail(aftermarket).

Interior is an 8,it's clean and in good shape

body is a 7,decent paint,shines would new repait to be perfect,nice for a driver. Small rust spot in corner of driver door. No rust in floor pan,quarters,rockers.

Engine bay,trunk are detailed,floor pan was cleaned,painted nice carpet installed.

Small rip in drivers seat.

Cold AC with 134a retro,new accumulator,orfice tube,good compressor.

New upper and lower balljoints
new upper control arm bushings
new fbody radaitor
trans cooler
new belts and all hoses
new alt
new crank sensor
new cam sensor
aftermarket guages

will need front tires soon.

some floor pan pics. Let me be clear on 1 thing,worst part of this car is the paint,it would need a repaint if you want anyhing other than a nice driver. It's not show worthy. Seems that most local that have looked at this car put more stock into that fact it needs a repaint and forget about at the time and $$$ it takes to under take the parts list in post #1.

little update

The White T in my sig is going back to mostly stock. I may have some extra goodies to add to this car when the T is done,if the GN hasn't sold yet. By looks of this market I will still have it:wink: I will also go OBO on the price,I will only discuss price in PM's/email/phone coversations.

Just got updated VA safety insp in Dec.almost 124k on the clock.

Update on the car

As of 2-2010 the combo has changed...

Stock motor is gone...now has motor from wife's 87 white T.
Motor was just completely disasembled and cleaned/inspected. Re-rung,has Brand new GM front cover blueprinted,.030 hyperpistons,heads with fresh 3 angle valve job cut for exhaust guide seals.

I have swapped the stock turbo for a TA 49,and a Dutt neck IC with a 3inch Gbody downpipe.

The wifes car went back to stock.

Price still $10,500 OBO,I have had plenty of lowballers I am not desparte.

Yup I still have it.:smile: All is the same except I have 2 new front tires and it now needs nothing Mechanically. Been driving it since the weather has been ify and I dont take out my nicer one unless it's nice and dry.

Spring time bump. Not driving this thing much at all just been sitting. Wife has a new DD so I have 3 TR's that mostly sit.

Price drop,engine issue...

I am about over this thing:biggrin:. Had it out today and it was idling funny,kind of lazy and had a few degrees of KR @WOT. Started poking around checking things. Landed up with drivers side valve cover off and #1 intake is not moving as fast as the others= wiped cam lobe. I was using Zddp and did a proper breakin but that was to no avail.

I am not gonna be able to rip it apart for a few weeks. So in the meantime I am going to lower the asking price to $8000 as is .I am not selling for a penny less please don't ask. If I have no takers I will pull the engine open it up swap cams and clean it all out. Then relist for the same $10,500 price.

Spring time brings many other things that need my attention so I am not sure how long it will be before I can fix it correctly. Relistically it probably will cost about $150 for a new cam. Plus gaskets and it may need to go to the machine shop to get cleaned out. I would guess under $500 in parts plus labor.

Good luck with the sale. If anyone out there looking for a great car this is it . When he does a TR it's done the right way no short cut with STEVE V . He did my engine and trans. , I bought my car from a guy in VA and it had around 3xxx on it and still runes like a new 2010 . Once again good luck if I had the extra cash I would love to have it.

It would've sold in August last year when I 1st listed it.

Most likely it will be here long enough for me to get to fix it. A few weekends of house/yard/farm stuff with the wifey and I will have the time.
