i remember seeing this one on ebay too.
i like it.

you're on the right track, especially if you're new to these cars...
a well maintained, stock, 47k mile, hardtop, is going to give you the least amount of problems, provided it is as pictured/described.

the price is a little on the high side however, but finding the clean maintained lower mile rust free stock 87 hardtops isn't always easy.

I agree, I think $18000 is a lot. I just bought a MINT 87 Hard Top with 42k for $16,200. I would offer $15,000 and go up to $16,000 after getting the engine checked out.

that GN is cleannnnnn

i would give him 16k and 17k at the most, depends on your mouthpiece:biggrin:

It's getting alot harder to find a GN in that good of condition....it's worth every penny of the asking price if it's as it appears.......some folks trying to get so much for so little are driving the value of our TR's down..........or maybe it's the people selling them taking so little for them.

IMO the car is worth $18k all day long. I realize the 47k miles makes some think in this soft market that it's more likely worth $16k.

I paid $18k for my car a year ago and it had $16k miles but it's not a GN and GN's pull more money and always will to most people. Not to me but to the general market.

I would disagree with $16k simply because if that car showed 6k miles vs. 16k no one would question the mileage for a second so to me an original hardtop car like this one is more about condition then mileage.

The car has 47k. The cars 23 years old. That's 2k miles a year. That aint chit!!!

It's actually one of the few cars I have seen that doesn't have a cracked dash pad. The chrome strip as well as bezels are sharp and shiny. The paint looks to be about an 8.5 out of 10.

The rest of the interior looks pretty mint except for the small spot on the passenger side where it apparently looks as if a woman with heels probably dug her heels into the carpet. It's really small tho.

The hoodliner has no signs of sagging. Steering wheel looks extremely clean. The door panels look about as mint as they can be and the rear seats look as if no one has ever sat in them practically.

The under carriage has no signs of rust and looks like a 6k mile car under it. Fillers look perfect. Headlight bezels look excellent. Car shows no signs of twisting or cracking paint at the typical locations.

The engine compartment looks as good as any low mile stock car I have seen. All A/C lines and condensor looks mint. The hood pad looks MINT which is huge imo. The door seals are probably as good as new based on the overall condition of the car. This car was an indoor car it's whole life I'll bet and probably never even seen rain.

The guy hides NOTHING. That's how you sell a car! He gets up close on just about every square inch of the car except the trunk which I can only assume is mint. Car starts right up. Of course drive it before you buy it but that seems like about as good as ur gonna find at any mileage.

This car is worth closer to $20k imo based on it's condition. Hard tops are hard to come by these days.
