I have an 87 GN with a .030 over 109 block, ported aluminum GN1's, Accufab 70mm TB, MSD 50lb injectors, etc. Under normal slow driving, the car is stalling at off-idle take-offs (or I have to flutter the pedal to keep it from stalling until the car gets moving) and is stalling when I come to a stop or let off the gas completely even at highway speeds. The car runs fine on throttle and under acceleration, but I have to put it in neutral to keep it running at red lights. Sometimes it is stalling when I put it into drive too. This is occurring even when the motor is warm. I heard it could be the TPS or IAC. The idle rpm is fine (not all over the place anyway).

Do you agree this could be my problem and how do I check for voltage. I know at closed throttle it should be around .1 volts and at WOT at 4.55, but what two wires on the TPS do I connect the meter to and how should I connect the meter? In other words, I am doing this myself so how do I have my probes stay in contact with the wires on the TPS while opening the throttle? Also, with respect to the IAC, how do I check/inspect that?

Oh and this is an "emergency" because I am running a Viper in three days, so I REALLY need your help!!

Thanks!!

closed throttle should be .42 to .44 and 4.75 ot wot back probe the blue wire on tps sensor or get a scanmaster iac should be 10 to 20 in park warm do iac before tps because it will change tps reading. i had the same problem with the hessitatiun it was my cam sensor but try the tps because .1 is way off. your not getting .44 till almost half throttle. stick a small nail where the blue wire goes in and touch the nail. to get idle settings loosen top screw and tap up or down this way you dont change wot setting then tighten up top and loosen bottom to adjust wot setting found this oiut by accident and it really works

I haven't checked it at all yet, but was told closed it should be .1, so that's wrong? Also since I have a DFI I can't use a scanmaster. :(
Where should I connect the red probe?

As for the cam sensor, how do I check that?

Thanks for your help....I am new to these and am trying my best to jump in and learn.

red probe to the blue wire on the tps sensor black to a ground. buy a cam sensor tool for $28.00 when the light is on its set

I think you posted this on maliburacing.com

Check your thread there. It contains links to instructions for setting your TPS and IAC.

Goodluck..
