87 gn wheels need big drag radials WHAT SIZE?

my buddy just bought a 87 gn with tons of engine work, ported heads,intake, roller cam,bb turbo,3" dp ,alky control,atr exhaust. et..... car still has the 15x7 stock rims with stock type tires and at about any type of speed it rips the tires loose which is quite dangerous. so we need to know whats the tallest /widest mickey thompson drag radial that can be put on the stock wheels and not roll wheel lips etc...

275/60/15 is the biggest you're going to be able to fit. You might consider 255/60/15 it fits a 7" wheel better.

x2...Get mickey's in the 255/60/15. I run those on a stock 15x7 T wheel and they fit well. 1.6x 60's all day so they hook.
