87 lesaber powermaster?

I was talking to a buddy of mine who has an 87 buick lesaber with what he thinks is a powermaster. He doesn't live close so I can't check it out to see if it is. Do these have 'em? Well he lost all power assist and the dealer wants like $1000 for the parts so he was thinking about the vac. conversion kits. He also has abs. Will one of these conversions work and what will happen to the abs? Thanks!
