87 TR Trans into 89 TTA?

Trans is slipping on 1-2 and 2-3 shifts. Changed the fluid and filter and flushed. Still the same. Guess its time for a rebuild. I have a TR trans sitting in my garage. Will this work in the TTA? What parts do I need to change because of the gearing and electronic speedo? Guess I need to save up some cash to do it right the first time.

I would pull the tta and put the tr in send the tta to PTS have it rebuilt and put it back in if you want to do it right.

yeah thats the plan. I don't know nothing about trans so I was wondering how the speedo hooks up and the gearing issues if any for shift points.
