I have an all stock 200r4 that has been rebuilt within the last year. My buddy is trowing me this great deal on a 9" artcarr with a 3200 stall but its a non lockup. Im just wondering how the non lockup part of this is going to hurt me for one, and I also wanted to know if i can have this converter installed with out doing anything else with the trans. any info would help Thanks

this convertor will wake up your trannie and make lots of power you will lose about 2 to 4 mpg due to it being non lock up other than that if you dont have billet internals prepare for things breaking due to extra torque and power you will be making.. ;)

Tranny

There is little things that you need to do to the tranny to make it strong. Many people think they they need to go all out and have the tranny bulletproof. I blew out my stock tranny and had it rebuilt by a very reputable shop for the 2004r rebuilds here in MN. The majority of the stuff inside he rebuilt with stock internals of the tranny. He said I didn't need all the HD parts. All I need to make that tranny go, is a HD heat treated input drum and the art carr converter, and a few various other parts. I have the same converter you are going to recieve and it wakes the car up A LOT!!!! :D I could definately feel a difference. There are very few people that actually can work on these tranny's and that know about them. The people that I highly reccomend to you for a rebuild is John at Master transmission, in Rosemont MN. He specializes in these tranny's. Great guy, and very honest. ;) He will talk you out of money you don't need to spend. You may want to give him a call. It only cost me 1300 installed plus cost of converter. Plus I still got 21 miles per gallon with the cruise set at 95 going to Fargo ND.
