9 year old Future Turbo Regal kid needs help.

My 9 year old son was told by my wife that if he made the Honor roll at the end of last year she would buy him a Nintendo Wii. Well I guess they are pretty hard to find, due to the fact that the stores cant get them and when they do its only 2 or 3 at a time. So here we are in the next school year(progress report last week was straight A's) and my wife has still not come thru for my lil guy. So Im gonna try to bail her out and find it myself. So does anyone know where I can get a Wii unit preferebly new? I am willing to pay over list within reason of course. I have checked Ebay and there seems to be a few but I would rather not buy that way. Any help for my lil Monkeyboy is appreciated. Thanx Gary.

Have any friends in the retail business like kmart, wally world etc? My sister is in managment at Kmart and could have got me a PS3 or the Wi when they first came out. I wasn't ready to spend $600 on a ps3. Talk to a store manager and see if they can help you out. Tell them the story you just told here.

I'll try here also, im kind of curious if there is any around here. My brother has one, ill ask him if he has access to them. He's one that you could always ask for something (electronic wise) and he will more then likely have it or a way to get it at a good price.

I got an original Nintendo, in the box with styrofoam and everything! PERFECT condition! I will sell.

You should also check out Amazon.com and pricegrabber.com.. I used pricegrabber to get a Wii for my daughter. Both are showing them available, albeit a bit higher then MSRP

Update..

Guys thanx for everyone who offered suggestions or even to pick it up. Brent (Boost231) has stepped up and will be grabbing one for me a lil later tonite. U guys are all the best, I just told my son where it was coming from and he ran to the computer and pulled up a map of the U.S. to see exactly where Arizona is! Hes soooo excited. I just hope playing that game doesn't hurt his baseball swing! Its funny how history repeats itself---My father bought me an Atari 2600 back in the early 80s and I remember being as excited as my son Timothy is right now.
