Have a friend of mine looking at a 95 Corvette, 5.7, 6 speed, Arizona Car, 1 owner, exactly 100k on the clock.

Car has been owned by a semi-retired guy since new, just normal rock chips etc, looks great at 10 feet.

Runs and drives as it should.

We know what the books say, but what is this thing really worth?

95, I read 85 at first and typed out this big comment LOL!

95, I'd say NO MORE than $7500

Tell him to save up a few more thousand and buy a C5. The C5 is a much more comfortable car with plenty of potential power-wise.

This is a friend of his, he just mentioned he was going to sell it and Justin decided he might buy it from him for a play toy.

He is not actively hunting a "vette" this one is just real nice and a friend of his so he thought he would buy it.

He owns 49% of the company I work for. Lets just say if he wanted 5 new Vettes to drive Monday-Friday he could.

His Dad bought a new 911 Turbo S (which probably cost more than my house) for a Christmas Present to himself.. He drives a Cayanne (spelling) twin turbo for his company car :p

I am not bragging how much money they have, its just a fact. He is simply looking for a daily driver I am sure he can beat on a little bit.

He has heard me talk about the Bricks and will never have one of those :p

$7,000-$7,500...C4's are very inexpensive right now but it's alot of car for the money. A '95 is a good model year because it was toward the end of the C4 era and most of the issues had been addressed.

If he buys it you will see it running around northern Iowa soon :p

If I lived near the corporate office, yes I would  Thankfully I am 9 hours away!

Yeah, 7k top dollar, issues to look for: optispark/misfire issues, water pump leak, removable roof panel weatherstrip/water leaks, power antenna, intake manifold end rail oil leaks, power seat transmissions, torn hatch weatherstripping, stripped gears in headlight motors.

Not sure if it helps. But I can tell you I just sold a VERY clean 68k mile automatic '96 for $11,750.

Thanks guys, he bought the car tonight for $6,000.... He can drive it like he stole it and get his money back I am sure.

Thanks for the opionions.

Damn! Yea... He did great on that! LOL! For $6k I'd get it & beat the wheels off of it.

You can get clean C4s for cheap.

I owned a 96. Good looking car. It drove great, very comfortable on long trips, over 25 mpg. It just needed 200 more horse power to be fun.:p

I plan on getting another Vette some day.
