I know this is for a later W-body Supercharged Regal (SR) but there is no way I'd get enough looks at this in the 3800 Series II section and since its the tranny I'm putting it here. Basically my tranny is slowly killing itself, not your normal the heat is slowly breaking stuff, this is a bit more rapid, the tranny will throw the code for too long of a shift on the 2-3 shift and go to max line pressure to compensate. This is crutched right now by the "performance shift" button and the cold temperatures keeping some of the heat out of the tranny. A good local shop, not some chain store but the local place that builds the local drag and circle track guys trannys has quoted me ~$2300 for a rebuild/upgrade to slightly better than '04 4T65E HD specs. Thats the ragged edge of my budget and it will set me back months on my effort to get my turbo motor built. What are my options besides this shop, a GM crate tranny, and an eBay/junkyard pull?
