Brian (Wagon) on this site was kind emough to tell the difference in the firewall evaporator box between a turbo car and non turbo car.

As a follow up question. Is the in car heater A/C box unique to a turbo car or will any A/C heater box from a G body car work? There is a reason for asking the question this way.

Thanks for the help.

I think any g body of our years 78-87 will work. Only thing I noticed different was the heat shield that bolts on to the turbo cars.

Everything on the passenger side of the firewall is the same as any other G-body. The Buick C68 climate control parts are a tad bit different but it doesn't sound like you are going to use those parts. The only unique parts on a turbo are on the engine side of the firewall.

Eric,

Thanks for the confirmation. I will not be using the climate control system.

I am asking these questions concerning a "hybrid" turbo car.

Happy New Year!

Mike
