Use the A/C switch to change some of the settings on my Trans+...other day went to change settings...put the control switch on MAX and nothing...the INT field on Tlink that displays the setting number didn't change and it should have...started the car and put the switch to MAX...nothing...the compressor never kicked in...the only thing I changed was that I put in a new blower motor...the A/C worked fine before that...I jumped the 2 connectors for the plug that goes to the accumulator and it worked fine...at least I could change my Tlink settings...didn't start the car that way but Tlink indicated the A/C was on...I went ahead and replaced the A/C compressor relay thinking that might be it...no change...still have no A/C unless I jump that connector...what could be wrong?...is it possible to get the wrong blower motor?...I didn't think that would have any effect on the compressor working or not...also did I replace the correct relay...it's on the pass side...you have the ESC module...then 2 relays...I believe the one right next to the ESC module is the fuel pump relay then the next one if the A/C relay...that's the one I replaced...any ideas here what might be wrong...I have the shop manuals but I'm not an electrical expert...

Are you jumping the pressure switch? If so, then you probably have to re-charge the system with refridgerant. It this is the case, then it is just a coincidence that it happened when you replaced the blower motor.

Not sure...it's the connector that plugs into the accumulator...is that a pressure switch...if I jump that connector Tlink tells me A/C is 'ON'...take a look at the pic(red arrow is connector I jumped)...so a low charge will keep the A/C from displaying as 'ON' in Tlink even if the car isn't running?...could very well be a low charge...I haven't used the A/C in a couple of years and it probably has a slow leak...

Sorry forgot the pic...here it is...

That is the pressure switch. It's either low on refrigerant, in which case, it won't let the compressor come on, or it's the pressure switch itself. You can unscrew it and take it off, with no loss of refrigerant. If the A/C works with the new switch, you'll know that the refrigerant is OK. If not, it's low on refrigerant. The switch is available from most auto supplys and is not expensive at all.

Yup. Like he said.

Brett...thanks for the offer to help but I think the guys are right...it's most likely the charge is low...I haven't used the A/C in over a year and it has probably leaked out plus it was a little low last time I used it...I'll hook up my A/C guages and check it out...sounds like a pretty simple fix...if it's the switch what do I ask for...A/C low pressure switch?
