Last night , turned on the A/C, comes on fine, just it no longer blows out of the vents, just the floor and defroster duct. What can I do to correct this? Happened with no notice.
Thanks in advance, Tom

A/C problems

the vents are vacumn controlled, sound like insufficient vacumn to the control diaphram, good vacumn will put the air to the dash vents, when its not enough, it will direct it to the floor vents,
Check for a vacumn line off or cracked, check the control switch too, check the supply at the intake, and see whats at the control valve.
good luck

The default position for the A/C vents (when no vacuum is applied) is to the defrost position, just as you described. Check for loss of vacuum to the heater control system, it may be a disconnected vacuum line back in the engine compartment.

Thanks

Yes, that was it, the vaccum line on top of the manifold. Thanks for the imput...Tom
