Hi, I've been trying to diagnose my "no start" problem for a while and finally got the noid light set I ordered 2 weeks ago from harborfreight. First I want to verify that I'm using the correct light. The one that seems to be what I would use is marked "GM PFI".

Secondly I noticed a few hoses that aren't connected. Are these supposed to be not connected?

First one comes from here (where I'm pointing):

and is not connected to anything at the moment:

This is the other hose:

Any help would be appreciated.

BTW: I went ahead and used the "GM PFI" noid light and connected it to the fuel injector harness and I get no light. According to another website I think I need to try the cam sensor next. Right? I already changed out the crank sensor and the car has spark. The car cranks but will not turn over.

pull off the cam sensor cap and check the brass colored cup thingy inside that rotates. They are notorious for stripping the little sheetmetal tab off. If it's on tight then crank the motor over and make sure the cup thingy is rotating. If it is then borrow a known good cam sensor cap and try that.

OK great thanks. I guess I'll just have to buy a cam sensor cover b/c I don't have anyone around to borrow one from.

Anyone in SE MA want to lend a hand and /or parts?
