Is the boost sensing part of the t-link the most accurate way to see boost. Should i believe it over an Autometer electrical boost guage?

My stock car hit 17psi just now when i was out driving. Also, i am getting some spikes in knock retard. It seems to drop immediately and hold, but at one point it spiked to ten. Should i be worried? What numbers should i be concerned with?

What is false knock, i have heard it mentioned but don't know how to tell

It's pretty accurate, but it might miss a quick spike (depending on how long it lasts).

Take a long look at the HELP section (hit F1 at anytime for context sensitive help or go to the top menu bar and choose HELP).

The "How do I ..." section has stuff about "Tune with TurboLink" and "Interpret the data" etc. It's a LOT of info, but it's worth it to wade thru it :)

"False Knock" basically refers to knock reported by the knock sensor, causing ESC counts to show up (and in more extreme cases, causing the ECM to retard timing) because of something "rattling" or banging at the right frequency against the block. A downpipe hitting the frame, loose heat shields, noisy valvetrain, loose timing chain, loose torque converter bolts, etc. are all likely suspects for this kind of problem.... the motor isn't detonating, but the knock is sensed due to the mechanical "noise".
