Good Grief! :p

Well, congrats to David Letterman and Bobby Rahal for owning the winning team. Won from the pole too.

Mr. Rice in an American however. :)

His engine ain't. :p

3 liters and lotsa shifting, no torque. ;)

And whats wrong with the name Rice;)
I got a new email address at work and the used everyones last name with the first letter of the first name at the end, mine is RICER:rolleyes:

Do you know how much HP and TQ those motors make?

I thought that Indy or whomever the sanctioning body is madated a set displacement on the motor and aerodynamic limits on the body.

And they still run 220 mph. I love those cars and kudos to any manufacturer that can design a motor to do that

Consider yourself lucky. You are one of the elite .1 of 1% of Ricers that have run a 7 second 1/8 mile.

I hate the IRL, after the split I will not watch them race. I will watch CART some, CART should still be racing at Indy, not the IRL. The CART cars are much much faster.

700 horse. not a f1 engine but in a 1500 lb car still better than nascrap.

I remember seeing a (in the life) of B Rice on the discovery channel I think. Good show, interesting. In fact I was glad to see a show that the person being filmed did'nt have JR. behind his name.:D

Dude....

Having grown up in Indy and seeing many tire test, time trials, and races, I still get a rush everytime I hear, "gentlemen,,,, start your engines". It is still truly the greatest specticle in racing. Last time I was at an event there was watching Graham Hill break the 170 mph mark with the STP turbine car in '68.
