a lot of heat & hungry for more power

I have a '79 3.8 turbo sport coupe, a lot of heat under the hood. My first question is how can I keep the engine compartment cool. Secoundly, I'm hungry for more power. I already did the turbo, added dual exhaust & a new 4 bbl carb. What else can I add to my ride to increse the horsepower.

For cooling you could go to a 160 thermostat and electric fan. Add a K&N air filter setup to get cool air from behind headlights. Tune Carb for more boost(richen up secondaries). Also beef up ignition,taller gears,high stall torque converter,larger downpipe.

First do a compression test and or Leak down test to make sure the engine is sound.

Then get a good Boost gauge.

Thanks! Sorry for the slow reply. The thermostat, electric fan, tune carb and ignition are in motion. The compression was good, I rebuilt the 3.8 1 year ago(stock rebuilt). Now, where can I get a k&n set-up for my car , high performance shop don't have one for my year here in long beach. HELP.....
