First off, this isn't about a turbo buick. Its about a 3.0 liter FI V6 in an 86 Calais. It looks very similar to the 3.8T, so I figured someone should be able to answer this.

The car starts and runs, but idles fairly rough. After running and driving for about 15 minutes, it stalls and doesn't restart. It just cranks and cranks forever until it's totally cooled down. The only thing that shows up odd on my scan tool is the IAC numbers. Its right around 86 at idle. I haven't driven it with the scan tool on it because I'm afraid of being left stranded.

I realize that the rough idle and the stalling could be caused by two different things, but the IAC number seems to be a bit high at idle. The car is a typical "little old ladies car" with only 22,000 grocery store miles. This is the first time it has ever given anybody problems. Also, the ignition module has original date sticker on the side, so I know that hasn't been changed.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Tim.
