I was checking to see if my pump was still working so i hot wired it to see if would come on, it did then shut off..........is that normal for testing (shutting off) or should it stay running?............after the test i can hear a click in the pump like something resetted... what should i check to fix the problem if there is one?

If your pressure line is clogged, then it is possible for when 12 volts get applied that it hits the pressure switch limit and turns off.

Unhook the pressure hose then apply 12 volts. It should stay running. If you put a small nozzle, then it will cycle on and off.. everytime it hits the pressure setting it will cycle.

HTH

PS.. check for debris :D

Thanks Razor, it was a clogged nozzle it look like lint.........Would you filter kit work on my DIY kit? let me know so i can order it asap..thanks

The filter can also clog.. but takes way more to do so than the nozzle.

You probably should take the whole system apart and flush it all out. Then start on making changes that wont allow this to ever happen again. By the list of modifications in your sig, you dont have a lot of room for errors like these. Especially when we're talking little $$ in the scheme of things.
