AC conversion kit

I was at Oreillys today and saw a kit in a little box that contained a kit to retrofit R12 to 134. It was like 50 bucks....can we use that on our cars?

If you're just out of refrigerant, yes, you can use it. If you expect the compressor to last long after you do it then it's a crap shoot.

The correct way to convert to 134 is to replace the compressor condenser and dryer, and flush all the r12 out before recharging with 134.
