I need the red connector? It's on the back of the AC compressor. I was going to pull the good one off my bad compressor and put in the good compressor.

Well, I got the bad one out with no trouble, but broke my good one.

Thanks,

Rich

I have a good compressor. Would you want to buy the whole thing and have a good compressor and the plug?

Thanks, The compressor shown is a good one, except for the plug. My plan was to just switch parts, which failed:rolleyes:

This AC system has been a PITA, it's now all apart, getting cleaned out and hopefully one day work for more than a day:confused:

Lets see what I can find, I know there's a bunch of bad compressors out there.

Thanks,

I'm gonna be ripping my A/C out within the next week probably. I'll see if I can get it out of the compressor for you if you don't get one by then.

Thanks for the responses! When you take it out, remove the lock ring, then carefully, pull up on the plug. I first took a needle nose plyers and used them as a spanner wrench and twisted the switch. It is just a press fit with o-rings making the seal. You need to break the seal and it will come right out. Unless it's in there like my good one was and in that case it will never come out.

Appreicate the help.

Sorry, I havn't forgot, my car is at work right now in the shop but I wont be able to work on it this weekend. Hopefully during the week I will get the part for you.

[edit] I will try to go in for an hour or so tomorrow and see if I can get it out while I'm there. I'll let you know how I make out tomorrow.

You can get the High pressure cutout switch from any parts store for about 18.00. My bro just bought one for the same reason. And messing with a snap ring with the compressor on the car is a PITA.

Once you remove the snap ring, some compressed air will pop out a stubborn switch.
