So I need to replace my accumulator and assume that I need a brake flush as well. Not being super savvy with the brake flush I'm going to to have a shop do it.

Question is this. Can I replace the accumulator with the old fluid and then drive it to the shop to do the flush or is that taking a risk since old dirty fluid will get into the new bowl? I really don't want to pay a tech to replace the bowl since it is so easy to replace.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

key off , depress pedal 10 times ,drain the reservior on the engine side with a turkey baster or a mityvac (dont allow fluid to get on your paint)
fill to level indicator at back corner with new fluid , key on let the pump draw it into the accumulator
key off , depress pedal 10 times ..drain reservior again
change accumulator , refill reservior and then turn key on and let pump run
thats it you're done
