What video game would you rank as real addictive?
(it can be any game from arcade, sega, PS, NES)

I played DR MARIO aka tetris for almost 4 hours
a few days ago.

Well if you have never played games like Ultima Online or Everquest for the computer its hard to explain, but never start! People literally can play them for 12 hour spands at a time because you can't stop. For console games, that new Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic has me and my brother up till 2am quite often lately

GTA Vice City

You can play it for hours and not even do any missions.
The non linear game play is excellent!

Been playing a game called Diablo2 here for the last few years and let me tell you this thing is addicting. At one point, when i wasnt working, I spent nearly 8 hrs a DAY playing this game, it totally took over my life, but has since been nearly cut out of my daily routine, or down to about 30 mins a day;) I suppose it will all happen again once this company releases their new project, a mmorpg called World of Warcraft. Will be the best rpg ever, imo of course.:) So does anyone play d2 on here?? USWest realm here, HC only..

the original GTA i would play for hours. i would pretend my guy was in a gang and just shoot anyone wearing a certain color. I had a patch that i could repaint, rename and calibrate all the cars. obviously the car in the game that was called the regal became a black GN and smoked the viper. I also played tecmo super bowl on NES for hours on end.

GTA Vice City for sure....Age of Empires 2, Conquerors...Red Alert 2...gonna try Day of Defeat online soon.

Almost every Final Fantasy game is addictive.....even part 1 ( i personally played the revamped one on PS1 for like a week straight and beat it) :D

Medal of Honor PS2
Twisted Metal Black PS2 in multiplayer
Ghost Recon PS2

The PS2 in general :D

Hey, anybody got any old games they want to get rid of?

I was addicted to D2 for quite some time. Luckily, through therapy and a timely intervention from family and friends I was able to kick my D2 addiction and lead a relatively normal life and do normal and healthier things. Like buy a GN and dump every cent I earn into it and not take care of the simple things like soap, and detergent and food most the time. Yea...much healthier things....

ONLINE GAMES ARE DEFINETELY ADDICTIVE! I PLAY ONE CALLED
JETFIGHTER IV, IT IS AS YOU MAY HAVE ALREADY GUESSED, A FIGHTER PLANE GAME. YOU CAN PLAY ONLINE AGAINST YOUR BUDDIES, OR ANYONE THAT MIGHT BE ON AT THE TIME. VERY REALISTIC! I HAVE PLAYED IT SEVERAL TIMES FOR 4-6 HOURS STRAIGHT! BEFORE THAT, I PLAYED MOTOR CITY ONLINE. BUILD YOUR OWN HOT ROD FOR THE STREET, TRACK, OR STRIP AND RACE FOR MONEY OR PINKS AGAINST OTHER GUYS

The most addictive game I ever played was in college, '89-90. A guy had this Battletech game that was a computer version of a role playing game. No intense graphics (hey, it was a long time ago), but that was what made it so addictive. You designed the mech's, layed out a grid map with terrain, had turns based on the speed and design of the mech and weapons etc. We played that for embarrassingly long stretches of time.
Other than that, later in college, nothing beats a marathon stretch of Sega football, Road Rash and a keg on the balcony. :D

Can really get into the new Test Drive games too, or any good race game.

all the Resident Evils for PS 1 and 2 and Gamecube...and Grand Turismo 1,2 and 3 with 4 coming out soon..I may not be on the pc for a while.:D

I am currently addicted to Medal Of Honor for PS2. Back in the day it was Metroid or Zelda.

Jamie

The next Medal of Honor for PS2 is due out soon!!!
This ones called Rising Sun and is set in Japan!!! Cant wait!:D

For Playstation....

Resident Evil (Entire Series)

Tomb Raider (Entire Series)

Anything classic and old school. New games will never compare to the magic of gaming in the 80's.
