When you go to tighten the rear brakes with the "star" wheel. From the back side of the wheel ,, which way tightens or expands the shoes ? Up or down?

the self adjusting mechanism pushes down on the outside of the wheel when you stop in reverse, so the back of the wheel goes up if you are adjusting from the back side. if you go too far, you should have to use a skinny screwdriver to push the self adjusting bar out of the way to back the star wheel off.
