Could you soften it a little with a heat gun and slip it in place while it's still hot? Just a suggestion...

Do you mean that factory hard plastic vac line?
If so, don't use it.
Just get a piece of regular vacuum line, cut it to length, and replace it in its entirety. Go all the way back from the hard metal line and to the regulator. Push it on nice and tight on both ends and clamp it on with some small zip-ties.
You don't want this line blowing off under boost!!! BOOM!

Those old plastic hard lines crack...replace with good rubber line.
