Adjustable Pushrod preload???

Gents,

Ok I've heard some things about adjustable pushrod preload... like 1/2 turn from zero-lash for more top-end and 3/4 turn for more bottomend... or the other way around... I've been settng mine at like 5/8th turn past zero-lash. What are you guys doing?

Hey Drew - I actually measured my preload, I was shooting for about 0.030" or so if I recall. I remember I found a paper clip that had about that dia wire and used it as a feeler to see if I had the right preload. Or if you know the thread pitch on the pushrod you can figure out how much preload you get for 1 turn of the nut and go from there. I knew that value once upon a time, probably have it written down somewhere, but would be hard pressed to find it!
