Are there any adjustable rocker arms that will fit on production heads without machining? If so, do they require having taller valve covers/spacers?

Please provide name, price estimate, and vedors who carry.

Thanks,

Anderson Performance in Baltimore, Md. 410-282-9335 installed T&D roller rockers (1.65) on my Champion iron heads. Bill built the entire engine so I don't have a break down on price. I like the Ramchargers valve covers and had to have them for clearence. They are quiet.

T&D's are available for stock heads, Cottons has them for $439. They come in ratios of 1:55, 1:60 and 1:65. IMO, very high quality, solid shaft and needle bearings through out. My set did require a slight clearencing of two of six mounting pedistles. They DO require a spacer for the stock covers, about $79, or a taller cover will work nicely. I like the black mat finish available from TA Performance>:D

The adjustable rockers [roller rockers] all require taller than stock covers and generally require the pedestals to be modified be slight grinding for clearance.

My preference is TA Performance as they have T&D make them to their specs, have solid spacers not springs and come with stud kit, not bolts.

Am sure a package deal on roller rockers and covers can be worked out.

That's what I thought. Thanks for all the replies.

The new rocker system I'm having made does not require clearancing of the rocker shaft supports. The first run is due in December, they'll have new steel billet rocker shafts, with circlips to retain the rockers, and the rockers will be 7075 T6 aluminum with phosphor/manganese/bronze bushings on the shafts and steel roller tips. The first sets will be 1.6 ratio, and they'll be priced at around $500. We hope to have them on display at the PRI Show in Indy the first of December, and maybe even at the SEMA show.
