Adjusting boost

I have a ta-49 turbo with the external wastegate. I knew at one point which way to adjust the rods to get boost to go down or up but I forget. Could someone refresh my memory. Rods extended less boost? Or more boost? Thanks

Shorten the rod for more boost if you have a stock wastegate.

Be sure to have plenty of alcky.

An easy way to remember: IN to INcrease pressure, works this way on almost all types of regulators, water, air, and in our case wastegates external or internal.
