Hi guys,
I just put on a MAF translator and a 3" LT1 maf on my
car. I set the dip switches for turbo buick and no
extender chip.
First knob I put to base 3" maf
Second knob, I think I put it for +3% fueling.
Drove it yesterday and noticed that my block learn
and integrator are closer to the desired 128 then with
my Cardone maf. Before my block learn was about
115-117 or so.
After resetting the computer and installing the MAFT
now it is in the 125-130 range. Nice.
But now when I punch it and get into boost, I am
getting more kr.
Before I'd get at the most 6 to 7 degrees of kr at 17
psi (not good) on 93 octane.

now I am seeing 13 degrees....before I get out of it.
The only thing I changed was the maf.

I am a little confused on how to richen it at WOT.
Anyone happen to have the directions or can instruct
me how to richen it more at WOT.
My base fuel pressure is at already at 46 psi...I have
it there because it lowered my kr a couple degrees
from 45 psi.

Car (TTA) has stock exhaust (downpipe, cat, catback)
8" K&N, SS maf pipe
Stock turbo. 30 lb green stripes.
Lubrant chip with 18 degrees of timing.
any help is appreciated. By chance anyone save the
page turbobob used to have up with the maf settings.
his site is down.
Thanks,
James

Without the extender chip you really have no way to adjust WOT fueling in the Translator. The WOT fuel adjustment and Extender chip work in unison.
Do you have Direct Scan? If so, what is your BLM in cell 15? Or check your BLM reading with your scan tool (whatever that is) during a normal (or slightly heavy) acceleration away from a stop light?

With the translator you can adjust fuel delivery at base and WOT. There are two dials inside the unit. Unscrew the backing plate (4 screws). There is actually a chart on the inside of this backing plate that shows all the adjustments.
For the 3" LT1 MAF at base (dial marked base, I think 1st dial) you can leave in normal setting (setting #3), richer at idle (#4), and leaner at idle (#5). For WOT (dial marked WOT, 2nd dial), you can adjust from 2% to 14% richer or 2% to 14% leaner. On the WOT dial, 0 = no change, then 1-7 are 2% increments (2% to 14%). 8 is not used, 9 is 14% lean, then from there A-F decreases 2% at a time, down to 2%.

My point was, that even with those adjustment knobs available, the WOT knob will have little to no affect unless you're running an Extender chip. Once the MAF tops out at 255 (they'll do that easilly without the Extender), you've lost control of WOT fueling adjustments.
