Advise: Gear shifter hardly moving????

Over the weekend, I took my stock GN out for a ride since the temp. outside was around 49 degrees. When I stopped at the gas station to fill up, I could hardly shift the lever from 'D' through 'P'. I mean it was hard. It would make a grind like noise in the shifter. When I got it to 'P' finally, it shifted smoothly back down to 'D'. What gives?????? I guessing it has something to do with the cable. Have anyone ever experienced anything like this before?????

Yup. 5 minutes later the cable broke on mine. I would suggest ordering one now cuz you know it will break on a friday at 5pm when you planned to drive it on Sat.

WOW. How do I get to inspect mine? Was it difficult to replace yours?

No way to inspect the cable as it is encased. You should be able to replace it in under 45 min.
