Sure if you can adjust fueling and timing with it.
Depends upon the chip as to how far you can customize it.
Extenders/Extremes it's not too difficult to pull or add timing and fuel where you want it or need it.
It's not a good idea probably to try to go from a full out race fuel chip to daily driver settings but an alky. chip 100 octane to 93 street, probably could be done rather easily with a good logging scantool and the proper information on the defaults in the chip etc.
