I need a new air bag hose. Can I use just rubber vaccuum tubing? What size would I need? Thanks all!

Scott

I don't see why not...but plastic hose would be better.

Just take your cracked hose to your local auto parts store or a home depot/lowes or something and match up the size. You may even be able to get some of that plastic hose that came with the air bag.

Another suggestion may be to just cut out your cracked section (assuming it's just in one small place) and get a plastic hose coupler to put in its place to connect the hose back together again.

I think you want to use the hardwalled hose. I used vacuum hose on my tow vehicle and the bags will leak down in about 8 to 10 hours so I am assuming the lines are causing a slow leak. I'm to lazy to check if there is a good substitute to be found at the hardware and parts store. Eric Fisher

Call airlift and see if they will warranty it depending on how long you have had the bags. I called them and they sent me a whole new bag with no questions asked when mine popped. Their customer service was A+. If they cant warranty it they have replacement hose kits you can get.
